Lentils, they are so versatile and there are so many different varieties. I love them. And not only because they are a great replacement for meat. I love them because they taste great and are such a good source of nutients.
It all started with the book Turquoise – a chefs travels in Turkey, from Greg & Lucy Malouf, where I found a super delicious red lentil soup with mint butter. It reminded me of eating at a very nice restaurant in Deventer – The Netherlands , Safak, with my parents and sister.
Lentils, I think I have said it before, but I am big fan. They have so much taste, are so healthy, and definitely perfect to serve without meat! I love them in a stew, as buger, but also as a salad.
