I miss summer, the sun, the warmth on your skin… actually everything about it… and my whole body asks for an extra dose of vitamines now that autumn has (almost) officially arrived. Do you recognise that feeling?
So to go back to the feeling of the great summer we had this year and treat my body to something healthy, I made this revitalising dragonfruit smoothie. The real name of this gorgeous pink fruit is pitaya or pitahaya. If only for the colour I would already fall in love with this fruit.
I know it is not local, not in season, but hey, once a while you have to treat yourself 😉
What is your favourite (healthy) treat that boost your body and energy?
smoothie with dragonfruit, pitaya, coconut water and lime juice
- 1/2 dragonfruit pink
- 150 ml coconut water
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 3 icecubes
peal the dragon fruit and the flesh together with the other ingredients in your blender. Blend until well combined (use you ice-crusher mode if you have one)
